Insects are a resource
Insects are the future
Biodiversity on the planet earth amounts to about 10 million species; only a few hundred of these belong to the class Mammalia, while about 6 million belong to class Insecta, animals that walk on six legs. If we counted the single organisms we would arrive at much larger numbers: for each man on earth there are from 200 to 2000 kg of insects. Therefore they are very abundant also in terms of biomass.
Insects are often involved in our economy, usually without our knowledge. In fact, they perform important tasks on an ecological level, mostly for free ...
• Speed up decomposition processes;
• Ensure crop pollination;
• They prey on other harmful insects;
• They are at the base of the food chain of many animals;
That's why our company does not aim at insects as enemies to fight, but as a resource to be used in an intelligent way in many fields: zootechnical, ecological, educational and even food.
