What are cookies

The data controller of the personal data collected through this Site is SMART BUGS SS, hereinafter "SB", with registered office in via Cave, 66 - 31020 - Villorba (TV), contact e-mail. The Site uses cookies - and other similar technologies - to improve the User's browsing experience, so as to make their services simple and efficient. Users who access the Site will see minimal amounts of information entered  in the devices in use, in small text files called "cookies" that will be saved in the directories used by the terminal (usually by the web browser) of the User. There are various types of cookies used by the Site, as better specified in the rest of the information.

Site manager cookies

The Site uses cookies mainly to allow navigation on the Site and the use of related services. For this reason, these cookies do not require the User's consent. These are so-called "technical" cookies, such as navigation or session cookies, functionality and analytical cookies (in relation to data processed in an anonymous and aggregate form).

More specifically, navigation or session cookies are used, aimed at guaranteeing normal navigation and use of the Website, and therefore aimed at making navigation within the Website functional and optimizing. The use of so-called "session cookies" "(which are not stored permanently on the User's computer and are deleted when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server), necessary to allow safe and efficient navigation of the Site, as well as facilitate it. They only anonymously identify the IP address of the computer and do not save any personal information (such as the computer name or  user ID  of the User).

Furthermore, functionality cookies are installed, strictly necessary to provide services explicitly requested by the User. These are usually permanent cookies that allow, for example, to manage and remember items that have been requested to be purchased or activated, to remember any actions performed by Users (for example, the settings relating to the language used or items in the cart) when you return to the previous page of a session.

Finally, there are analytical cookies, used exclusively by the Site manager alone, to collect information, in aggregate and anonymous form, on the number of Users and on how Users visit the Site.

Third-party service analysis cookies

These cookies are used in order to collect information on the use of the Site by Users in  anonymous form such as: pages visited, time spent, origins of the traffic of origin, geographical origin, age, gender and interests for the purpose of marketing campaigns. These cookies are sent from third-party domains external to the Site.

In order to know the number of our Users and how they use the Site, we use third-party service analysis cookies. In particular, SB uses Google Analytics, a tool provided by Google Inc. that allows the analysis of traffic on the Site. These are the services offered by Google and Google Analytics to collect, aggregate and analyze data in order to better understand the how to use the Site, generating reports and statistics. In compliance with the provisions of the Italian Data Protection Authority, in order to reduce the identifying power of the data collected through Google analytical cookies, in the settings of the SB service it has worked to: (a) prevent the sharing of data collected through analytical cookies, preventing the data from being shared with other Google products and services, and (b) activating the IP address masking function, thanks to which part of the User's IP address is removed before its use and storage.

 

Third party profiling cookies

These are the cookies sent by third parties, through the Site, necessary to create User profiles in order to send advertising messages, by the same third parties,  in line with the interests expressed by the User while browsing (so-called retargeting services). To do this, retargeting service providers save a cookie on the User's hard drive, with information that cannot be traced back to the person but which allows, on visits to other sites, to propose advertising messages that take into account the browsing preferences expressed. Note that this Site does not use proprietary profiling cookies.

In particular, this site uses Google AdWords and Facebook Ads. These are services that install cookies to study and improve advertising, with retargeting actions, in order to send the User advertising messages in line with their preferences.
Retargeting helps to reach Users who have visited the Site and see SB's ads as they browse websites included in the Google Display Network or while searching for terms related to SB products or services on Google.
