all the potential
BUTTERFLIES
Butterflies are diurnal flying insects, whose life cycle consists of four stages: egg, larva or caterpillar, pupa or chrysalis, adult or imago.
The common belief would have it that the duration of the adult stage was only one day, in reality the average duration is many days: yes there are species whose adults live only a few hours, but also species whose adults can touch the year. of age.
Another myth to dispel is that of the "powder on the wings", according to some necessary for the flight of adults. In reality, the micro-scales of which it is composed are not functional to flight, they only have a communicative function: they characterize the shapes and colors of the drawings on the wings.
We breed butterflies for teaching and for urban ecology activities.
Some of the species that we followed are:
P. rapae, P. brassicae, P. machaon, A. urticae, V. cardui, V. atalanta, I. i, I. podalirius.
The butterflies belonging to native species can be the protagonists of spectacular releases ( Butterfly-Release ) during parties, weddings and other events. Visit the dedicated website here.
Our butterflies are raised with cutting-edge techniques, in full compliance with their biological needs.
SILKWORMS
Bombyx died
Silk is a bio-material produced by insects and spiders composed of two proteins: fibroin and sericin.
Through various processes this natural fiber (produced by selected species over time) is transformed into fabric.
Thanks to the knowledge acquired and the technologies developed by the company research, our breeding is the first in Italy to guarantee a continuous production of silkworms throughout the year.
FLIES SOLDIER
Hermetia Illucens
The soldier fly, and especially its larva, are the subject of study by many researchers.
Given its extreme adaptability to different food substrates, it seems the ideal candidate in bio-conversion projects of organic waste.
Given his habits and docile nature (very different from that of the annoying house fly) the soldier fly does not appear to be neither harasses nor dangerous for public health.
